Myroslav grew up in Krolevets, a small rural village in northeastern Ukraine, where he spent 17 years working on his family fields before coming to study in the United States. His upbringing shaped his profound passion for agriculture, which he explores through the lens of chemistry, soil and environmental sciences. He is driven by a desire to develop resilient agricultural systems that can withstand the challenges of climate change in the future. At Yale, Old Acre serves as a refuge spot on campus—a place where Myroslav reconnects with nature and his soul.
