More about Sawan:
Sawan grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area digging around in his garden and hiking in beautiful Northern California. His first exposure to farming was at the Green Gulch Farm nestled between the redwoods and the Pacific Ocean just north of San Francisco. Recently, he has grown particularly interested in the potential of molecular biology to make agriculture more sustainable and efficient. Apart from being outside running, hiking, or biking, Sawan spends a good deal of time in the theater acting in plays and musicals. He is also a FOOT leader! Late at night, you can probably find him singing and dancing in a random classroom or courtyard with his friends.
